About

Welcome to the Father Georges Florovsky Library! Our mission is to serve the needs of the faculty and students of the seminary, and the worldwide scholarly community as well. It represents one of the major assets of the seminary as an institution of higher learning. The Library currently holds over 100,000 volumes and receives over 330 periodicals. This collection is considered one of the richest resources available in North American for research on Eastern Christianity. It is especially strong in the areas of Orthodox church history, Orthodox theology, philosophy, and culture. Significant literature in other areas is also systematically acquired. The holdings have been immensely enriched by the donation of private collections from former faculty, alumni, and Orthodox clergy and laymen. A list of these collections can be found here. Users are also encouraged to view the Library guide for information about our circulation policies.

*The Library is closing at 5pm on Friday, December 19th and will reopen on Wed. January 7th, 2015 at 8:30am. If you are a current patron please plan accordingly.
